I am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) at Foresight Pasadena. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I have a background working within non-profit organizations, school settings, as well as in Civil Forensic Psychology, conducting psychological assessments and evaluations. After obtaining experience with diverse population, I have worked in a treatment center at all levels of care (inpatient, residential, and PHP/IOP), where I later transitioned in becoming a program Director at a RTC. I have a passion for working with individuals to provide support in difficult moments in their lives by providing the necessary skills to help them thrive during hardships. I am a member of the Latinx Community and creating a safe space for all individuals to share about their vulnerable moments and stories is one of my goals. I have experience working with marginalizes voices, BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. My specialty areas are eating disorders, body image related issues, anxiety, trauma, ptsd, coping skills, as well as stress management. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered, holistic, culturally-sensitive perspective: focusing on genuineness, empathy, compassion, by helping individuals connect to their bodies, mind, and emotions. My goal is to help individuals become aware of their own strengths, and create opportunities for growth. I have experience in utilizing interventions from a variety of modalities to best fit the individual such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength based, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, attachment, trauma resiliency model, and more.
