Licensed Clinical Social Worker
LIC NO. 93122
I have gained experience working with special populations recovering from trauma such as abuse, military experience, cult exposure (e.g. Trauma Recovery Center at local psychiatric facility), Domestic Violence survivors (e.g. District Attorney’s office, community mental health), Human Trafficking survivors (e.g. District Attorney’s office). I have additionally gained years of experience working with clients recovering from an eating disorder, a subspecialty of mental health that requires very specific training and experience to successfully support clients through recovery. In all levels of experience, I have supported clients struggling with common struggles such as depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment, and relationship issues. I have worked very well with clients ranging from uninsured populations in underserved areas, Medi-Cal recipients, fully insured clients and private pay. Through my experience, I have been trained to effectively work with a variety of genders, ethnicities, and ages. I am multilingual and can provide support not only to individual clients who speak Spanish, but can also provide family support to the extended monolingual Spanish-speaking family members when appropriate. I have worked with all levels of care, ranging from outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial day treatment, and extended day treatment, and I draw on my experiences to support clients and assess appropriate levels of care. I have been trained in a variety of modalities, including CBT, MI, IPT, TF-CBT, Psychodynamic, and DBT which provide a unique set of tools to support clients with the most supportive treatment modality appropriate for them and for their diagnosis. Lastly, I am able to offer flexible evening and weekend availability to support clients who otherwise cannot attend therapy in a normal 9-5 weekly schedule.
