I am board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry (Fellowship at The University of Chicago). I am a psychologically- and nutritionally- oriented psychiatrist that promotes patient empowerment through education and the collaborative construction of treatment plans. I aim to bridge the gaps between brain-body-psychology-and medicine, while developing an understanding and appreciation for a person’s lived experience. As a CL Psychiatrist I specialize in working with individuals who have other medical problems (e.g. heart, lung, liver, or kidney disease; neurological conditions; autoimmune conditions; etc.) that can impact both brain and psychological functioning, and help patients and other physicians understand how these conditions interact with psychiatric health. I also offer evaluations for medication management and supervision of psychotropic medication use, whether standalone or in conjunction with other types of treatment.
