Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
LIC NO. 116853
I began my journey by working as a teacher’s aid in the school setting. I was able to see the impact that mental health has on academics and the importance of family in children’s life. For this reason I pursued a career as a Marriage Family Therapist. I graduated from Phillips Graduate Institute and pursued my career as a therapist. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults in the clinic, home, and school setting. I have worked in higher level of care such as Full Service Partnership Program with children and adolescents and in outpatient settings. I have helped clients that suffer from PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, and attachment. I have conducted individual/family sessions, co-facilitated group therapy, and worked with a multi-disciplinary team such as psychiatrist, social workers, and teachers. I am certified in evidence based practices such as Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, seeking safety, and positive parenting practices. My education and professional experience has led me to work with a variety of clientele from different ages, culture’s, and background. It has allowed me to see the importance in being flexible, adaptable, and culturally sensitive. I continue to grow in my career by continued educational trainings that can benefit clients I service.
