Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Foresight in Sherman Oaks, CA. I earned my Masters Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University in 2017. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University of Northridge in 2013. I have experience working in community mental health settings for adults, residential facilities for adolescents and some work with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have a passion working with young adults especially minority and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) groups through life transitions, building healthy relationships and gaining control with adaptive coping tools throughout challenging situations. I approach therapy through a collaborative and reality based lens, focusing on problem solving, mindfulness tools, reframing negative thinking and shifting habits that are no longer serving you. I am aware that no matter the tools, interventions and/or processing done in therapy, what is most important and valuable is the rapport and relationship built between the therapy and the client!
